Delete your account
You can delete your Inkpaper account and all of its data at any time, directly in the app. Nobody needs to approve it and there is nothing to pay.
In the app
- Open Inkpaper and go to Stats › Settings.
- Scroll to your account, at the bottom, and tap Delete account.
- Read what will be removed, then type DELETE to confirm.
Your account is removed immediately. This cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account after it has been deleted.
If you no longer have the app
Email jonnydschingiskahle@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm and delete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes, permanently:
- your sign-in details and email address;
- your saved words, flashcard scheduling and review history, in every practice mode;
- your reading progress, finished chapters, daily activity, streaks, medals and tone-practice statistics;
- your settings, bookmarks, saved practice sets and downloads;
- any feedback or word reports you sent us, and your membership in any classroom.
If you are a teacher, deleting your account also closes the classes you own and removes their assignments. Your students keep their own saved words and progress — those belong to them, not to the class.
What is kept, and why
Inkpaper’s own content — the stories, the dictionary, the grammar catalogue and the audio — is not personal data and is not affected.
Where a report you filed led us to correct a word in the shared dictionary, the correction itself stays, because it is part of the content every learner reads. It no longer carries your name or any link to your account.
We keep nothing else after deletion, except where the law requires it of us. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture, and the Impressum for who we are.
